The idea for Joey the Giraffe came from the fact that bookshelves are high and little kids may need help reaching the books they want to read. With their long necks giraffes can reach for knowledge in high places. So it is fitting that Joey the Giraffe represent the children's department of the Stratford Library. We hope that, like Joey, you will reach for knowledge and stretch your mind when reaching for a good book.
