Free Wireless Internet Access (WiFi)

What do I need?
A Windows or Macintosh laptop computer or smart phone with a standard web browser and an IEEE 802.11b/g compatible wireless card installed.

How do I connect?

• Most Windows XP and Macintosh wireless cards will automatically detect the Stratford
  Library network. Open your web browser to see if you are already connected.
• If your laptop or smart phone does not automatically detect the Stratford Library network, you will need to configure your network card. Guide sheets are available at the Reference Desk

What about printing?
Direct printing services are not available for wireless users. Library staff is available to assist with your printing needs.

What about power?
As a matter of safety, please use battery power when seated at any open table area. A cord that runs across a walkway may cause injury to other patrons. Library staff can direct you to a variety of workspaces adjacent to electrical outlets.

Is there technical support?
Library staff can provide guide sheets to assist with basic setup questions. For further assistance, consult the documentation for your wireless network card, laptop or smart phone.
